What hiring a content creator really costs
The question we get most is “roughly what does that cost”. The honest answer is that there is no single number, and that anyone who names one is leaving something out. What there is, is a breakdown you can work through yourself.
Three things set the price
The service, the volume and the level. A photographer for four hours a quarter and a videographer who works four days a week do not share a rate. The more hours per month, the lower the hourly rate.
Watch what is not included
With a lone freelancer you pay for the hour. In practice a lot gets added to that: finding someone, the contract, the follow-up, the invoicing, and a replacement if it does not click. With us that sits inside the same hourly rate; under another arrangement it is your time. Count it, because it is not free.
The level is usually lower than people think
Junior delivers with direction, intermediate works independently, expert thinks along and steers. For a lot of work intermediate is enough and an expert costs you more than you need. In doubt, pick “I’m not sure” in the estimator — then we look with you.
Ask about the selection
Whoever you hire: ask how that person was screened. With us that is a conversation at the office, going through the portfolio together and a test within their own craft. It is no guarantee, but it beats using the first brief as a trial.
Work it out before you call
An estimate takes a minute and needs no account. You then know whether a conversation is worth it, and that saves you both time.
See what it costs. Three questions, a number on the screen, no account.
